About me

My research combines mathematical modeling, machine learning, and algorithm design, with the goal of developing derivative-free optimization that are supported by solid theory and are efficient in practice. Notable applications include hyperparameter optimization and simulation-based engineering design.

I started a postdoctoral fellowship at Georgia Tech in Summer 2026 under the supervision of Professor Katya Scheinberg, focusing on stochastic derivative-free optimization.

I completed a PhD in April 2026 at Polytechnique Montréal under the supervision of Professors Charles Audet, Youssef Diouane, and Sébastien Le Digabel. My doctoral research focused on mixed-variable and hierarchical blackbox optimization, where functions lack explicit expressions, variables come in different types, and meta variables influence the dimension and structure of the problem.
